New policies have been set by the school board for Jefferson Davis County High School.
The most significant change is the no cell phone policy. This policy prohibits the use of cell phones on the JDCH campus.
Students will be required to wear a plain collared shirt, polo or button down, in school approved colors.
School approved sweaters, cardigans or sweatshirts may be worn.
These must also be in school colors and should not have inappropriate graphics or text.
Hoodies are only allowed if they are part of the school approved uniform and do not have logos or slogans.
Spirit shirts can only be worn on Friday.
Students may wear khakis, dress pants or school approved trousers in solid, neutral colors. Black pants are not allowed.
Shorts and skirts must be of appropriate length, two inches above the knee, and should be a solid color and consistent with the uniform policy.
Denim is not allowed unless approved and only clear or mesh backpacks are allowed.
These policies take effect in January 2026.
