The Samsung Galaxy S25 just got an upgrade. Samsung Electronics recently revealed a new Gemini Live Visual AI feature, a free update that allows the AI assistant to see through the device’s camera in order to give users advice based on what’s in the camera’s field of view.
This is meant to provide support for moments that require a second eye. Yes, this means that when enabled, the Gemini can literally see you and whatever you choose to show it.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 will act as a friend.
To better explain, any time that you activate Gemini Live (by holding the side button on your Galaxy S25), the AI assistant will appear on your screen, and activate your camera. When this occurs, Gemini Live can see whatever you point your camera toward.
During this time, you can also ask Gemini Live for suggestions in real time. For example, if you were pointing your camera toward pieces of clothes, you could ask, “What’s the best outfit for my first day of work?” or “I’m going home for Christmas. What should I wear for family dinner?” You could also use this new feature to help with projects like home and office organization, or even decorating a room.
