Ministry of Immigration and Absorption launches new app for olim

The Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption, in partnership with the National Digital System, launched  “My Aliyah” in early September – an application designed to assist new immigrants to adjust to life in Israel.

The My Aliyah app provides a direct link to the Ministry and Absorption website, a personal area with the necessary information, and a system for managing potential government entitlements customized for new immigrants.

This application also sends push notifications, provides tools such as a map of the first steps after aliyah, and reminds users of important tasks that have not yet been performed.

Easing the Aliyah Process

“The launch of the new application is integrated into the digital process of the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption, which also includes a smart chatbot and other services,” Immigration and Absorption Minister Ofir Sofer highlighted. This, in addition to “the support system for immigrants from the moment they decide to make Aliyah, places the immigrant at the center and helps them in the acclimatization process,” Sofer continued.

He then highlighted the challenges new immigrants face when they come to Israel despite a desire to integrate, including “a lack of knowledge, bureaucracy, language difficulties, and absorption challenges.” Sofer said that the app helps minimize all these challenges for new immigrants.

“The National Digital Unit aims to make the digital route the easiest, most efficient, fastest, and most accessible way to receive government services,” National Digital System head Shira Lev-Ami said.

The app is available in the Apple Store and Google Play in six languages, including Hebrew, English, Russian, Spanish, French, and Amharic.
