A new women’s clothing boutique is opening in Lancaster city.
Co-owned by Emmalyn Love and Vivian Kendall, Lovi Boutique is the duo’s first brick and mortar store. The 2,040-square-foot shop at 325 N. Queen St. previously housed Nicole Taylor Boutique before it closed late last year. The new boutique has one employee.
The shop is set to open to the public April 26, following a soft opening for friends and family the day prior.
Love described the boutique’s clothing products as classy, timeless and elegant. Along with clothing, the shop will offer women’s accessories, including hats and jewelry. Product availability will expand as Love and Kendall find items and vendors that align with the shop’s style.
The pair said they want to continue collaborating with other local businesses, as Nicole Taylor Boutique owner Nicole Vasquez did, to feature local products in their store. Love said she met Vasquez through selling her products at the boutique.
Love and Kendall are both full-time influencers who use their platforms to promote and sell clothing. They said opening a physical store has always been their intention.
“It was always a goal,” Love said. “(A storefront) is something that we’ve always liked because we enjoy the in-person shopping experience.”
In the future, the duo want Lovi Boutique to be a one-stop shop for women to find their ideal look. Love and Kendall are working to collaborate with local seamstresses and tailors to offer custom clothing pieces and tailoring at the shop. Personal shopping services will also be available.
“We want it to feel like when it comes to having somewhere to go, you don’t have to worry,” Love said. “You can just come to Lovi, and we’ll handle everything for you.”
