Local UK authority calls on CAT to reject subsidy challenge

A local authority in Manchester has told the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal that there is nothing illegal about its decision to grant £120 million in loans to a construction company, rejecting claims that the grants breach the country’s subsidy control regime.
