Huawei has opened pre-orders for its latest foldable smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate X6, in the United Arab Emirates. The device, priced at AED 7199, is available in three colors: Nebula Grey, Nebula Red, and Black.
The Mate X6 features dual OLED displays: a 6.45″ exterior screen and a 7.93″ interior screen. Both displays support adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1hz to 120hz for smooth visuals and energy efficiency. The foldable design also enhances productivity, allowing users to run up to three apps simultaneously with intuitive swipe navigation.
Huawei’s Ultra Chroma Camera system is one of the highlights of the device. With 1.50m spectral channels, the system promises a 120% improvement in color accuracy. The 50MP primary camera offers a ten-size adjustable physical aperture, enabling greater control over depth of field and light intake.
Durability of the design is a core focus, too. The exterior display is protected by the second generation Kunlun Glass, claimed to be 25 times more resistant to drops. The interior screen incorporates a carbon fibre plate, and the aerospace-grade aluminum frame reportedly increases material strength by 37% compared to previous models. The phone also features an advanced multi-dimensional hinge system, enhancing the robustness of the foldable design.
The Nebula Grey edition of the Mate X6 stands out with a Micro-Nano 3D Topography finish, constructed from Vegan Fiber. This material combines aerospace-grade S-grade glass fiber with high-performance materials for a balance of lightweight strength and durability. The Nebula Red and Black Editions feature soft-touch leather finishes.
With the pre-orders now live, Huawei has also introduced incentives for early adopters, including a Huawei Watch Gt 4, six months of Huawei Care+, and a trade-in top-up valued at AED 700.
