From late February to early March, depending on the blooming timeline and temperature, you will find Hong Kong dressed ‘pretty in pink’, all credited to the cherry blossom trees that can be found all across the city. One of the key attractions is the cherry blossom garden near Hong Kong International Airport, which is now open for the season, featuring more trees, a new waterfront promenade, and additional seating areas for visitors to enjoy.

This year’s highlight is the expanded ‘Cherry Blossom Bay’, where you can take in some stunning views of the flora. The Airport Authority carefully picks the cherry blossom varieties, focusing on those that thrive in Hong Kong’s climate. Since the blooming period for these trees lasts between seven and 14 days, they are planted in two batches to extend the experience for visitors. The first batch of trees is in full bloom, with more expected to flower in two weeks.
