HENDERSON COUNTY, Ill. — The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has announced that their new app is now available for download from Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Those will the new app downloaded onto their smart phones will be able to stay informed and receive alerts from the sheriff’s office and other Henderson County offices, including the Henderson County Highway Department, the Henderson County Health Department and the Henderson County courthouse offices.
“There are also features to join our team and assist detectives in solving crimes by using the ‘Camera Connect’ feature,” the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post announcing the new app.
Henderson Camera Connect is a partnership between the citizens and businesses of Henderson County and the Sheriff’s Office.
This partnership enables the sheriff’s office to work collaboratively with citizens and business owners to help combat crime.
Citizens and business owners can voluntarily sign up for the camera connect and register their surveillance systems with the Sheriff’s Office.
This program allows citizens and business owners to register the location of their camera system so detectives can call them if a crime occurs in their specific community or neighborhood.
“This will help streamline the investigative process and solve cases much quicker,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
“Citizens must remember that we WILL NOT have access to anyone’s camera system or their personal information.
“The data we will have access to is what a citizen or business owner provides to us.”
