In summary
- Two new AI camera features rumoured
- ‘Camera Coach’ gives shooting advice
- ‘Conversational Photo Editing’ lets you edit with simple prompts
The forthcoming Google Pixel 10 smartphone range has been tipped to add a pair of major AI enhancements to its camera.
After numerous leaks and rumours, we’re not expecting much new on the camera hardware front with Google’s Pixel 10 series.
Aside from the Pixel 10 itself gaining a telephoto camera (and potentially losing its large main sensor), any real progress is likely to come from AI enhancements – via the company’s new Tensor G5 chip, of course.
Now we have an insight into what some of those AI enhancements might be, courtesy of Android Headlines.

Pixel 10 AI camera features
In the first of two reports, the website claims that the Pixel 10 series with boast a so-called ‘Camera Coach’ feature that will guide you to taking better pictures through the camera UI.
Google’s Gemini AI will apparently provide real time advice on appropriate framing and shooting angles, potential lighting adjustments, and more.
In another report, the website claims that Google is adding a feature called Conversational Photo Editing to the Pixel 10.
Using Gemini again, you’ll be able to make edits to your images through simple and intuitive voice or text prompts. It’ll be possible to change or remove something in the background, brighten the image and more simply by asking for it using natural language.
The website mentions that these new AI camera features will likely be exclusive to the Pixel 10 for a time, but that they will probably come to older Pixel devices (likely commencing with the Google Pixel 9) over time through a future Pixel Feature Drop.
Google will announce the Pixel 10 series, alongside the Pixel Watch 4 and potentially the Pixel Buds 2a, on 20 August.
