- Telltale ring confirms Qi2
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold confirmed for Qi2 and delay
Images for the official Pixel 10 case have leaked online, seemingly confirming a major iPhone-level hardware update for the upcoming smartphone series.
Dutch website Nieuwmobiel has published convincing images of Google’s the protective case for the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro.

The Pixel 10 cases are featured in the same four colours as the phone: Indigo, Obsidian, Limoncello and Frost. The Pixel 10 Pro and XL, meanwhile, come in Moonstone, Jade, and Porcelain, as well as plain old black.
They look a lot like the official case for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro (which fitted snugly on both smaller models) – except for one vital detail.

Qi2 confirmed (again)
These new Pixel cases contain an added detail on the inner microfibre lining – a telltale ring that indicates Qi2 compatibility.
Pre-release rumours surrounding the Pixel 10 range have pointed to one major series-spanning addition, which Google is apparently set to call Pixelsnap. This essentially refers to Qi2 wireless charging in its full magnetised form.
Just like Apple’s MagSafe, this will enable Pixel 10 devices to snap on to Qi2 wireless chargers, as well as accessories such as these official cases.
In separate news, king of leakers (not an official title) Evan Blass has tweeted confirmation that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will also pack Qi2 compatibility, and that it will indeed be delayed until 9 October, as previously claimed.
He also confirms that the Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a have also been delayed until that 9 October date. We’re still expecting the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL to hit shops before the end of this month.
Google will officially announce the entire family of devices on 20 August – less than a week from today.
