Asia’s first-ever CR7 Life Museum dedicated to the life and career of football legend, Cristiana Ronaldo, has officially opened its doors on 7 July in the heart of Hong Kong and is the first such museum in Asia.
More than 10 years after the original CR7 Life Museum debuted in his hometown of Funchal on the island of Madeira in Portugal, football fans in Asia can finally step into the world of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo chose Hong Kong as the location for his latest CR7 Life Museum because of his huge fan base in China, his representatives said in a report by South China Morning Post. He was represented by his brother, Hugo dos Santos Aveiro, at the opening ceremony. The 40-year-old player’s full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro
The Portuguese football star will also visit the city at some point but the date has not been confirmed. Ronaldo’s attendance would be separate from a potential visit with his current club Al-Nassr for the Saudi Super Cup at Hong Kong Stadium in August.
The museum is located at K11 MUSEA, a luxury shopping mall in Hong Kong in the famous district of Tsim Sha Tsui, which is a dynamic lifestyle and cultural hub bustling with many high-end shops, bars, pubs and restaurants that cater to tourists.
A CR7 Signature Museum was also launched in November 2023 in Riyadh, where Ronaldo has been playing for Al-Nassr since leaving Manchester United.
