President-elect Donald Trump will ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, a source familiar with his plans told USA TODAY.
Thursday will mark the first time that Trump will ring the stock exchange bell, a symbolic ritual that is often designated to celebrities and visiting dignitaries. But the president-elect isn’t the first member of the Trump family to ring the bell.
Melania Trump previously rang the bell in 2019 during her time as First Lady.
Trump’s visit also comes as he is expected to be named Time Magazine Person of the Year.
