TREMPEALEAU, Wis. (WXOW) — A unique charity fashion show is set to take place at Ecker’s Apple Farm on Thursday, aiming to bring the community together and support a good cause.

The event, dubbed “Dairy Chic,” will feature styles from Coulee Boutique and A Farm Chick’s Closet.

“We wanted to create an event for our community that really allows women to gather, have some fun, look at some clothes,” Event MC & Wegnerlann Dairy’s Annaliese Wegner said. “We all like to shop, but do it for a good cause.”

The fashion show will raise funds to help stock dairy products at the G-E-T Community Food Bank.

“A lot of food banks have trouble keeping perishable items like milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.,” Wegner said. “And me, as a dairy farmer, that’s where I come from. That’s kind of my passion about this project.”

Anna Ledebuhr, owner of Coulee Boutique and event co-host, shared the inspiration behind the event.

“Annaliese came to me with an idea and just said, I love planning parties. What could we do to gather people together?” Ledebuhr said. “I’ve done a couple of fashion shows in the past, so that kind of is my wheelhouse.”

The event promises a casual and fun atmosphere, complete with drinks from Ecker’s Apple Orchard, charcuterie from Hunt & Gather, and more.

Jess Ecker

Jess Ecker, the host and owner of Ecker’s Apple Farm, expressed excitement about transforming the space for the event.

“We’ve been working on this space for two years. It’s fun to think of the space in a different way and figure out the best solution,” Ecker said.

The fashion show will also feature a silent auction and participation from local businesses, with proceeds going to the G.E.T. Community Food Pantry.

The community’s support has been overwhelming, with nearly 20 small businesses donating time, products, or money.

“It’s fantastic what these two have done and pulling together so much support,” Ecker said.

Tickets for the event are still available, with about 30 left.

They can be bought on the event’s Eventbrite or on the Facebook event page

The fashion show will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at Ecker’s Apple Farm.
