Comcast Launches Xfinity StreamStore, Letting Customers Shop for 450 Apps and 200,000-Plus TV Shows and Movies

Comcast is doubling down on its bid to become the entertainment one-stop shop for customers in its cable footprint.

The company is launching Xfinity StreamStore, a hub for purchasing and managing streaming apps, channels and networks, available to Xfinity TV and Internet customers. Comcast touts StreamStore as having “one of the world’s largest catalogs of entertainment” — including over 450 streaming apps and channels and 200,000 movies and TV shows to rent or purchase.

A subset of the apps will be available to buy through StreamStore and those charges added to a Comcast customer’s monthly bill. Those are Netflix, Peacock, Paramount+,…
