Classical music and humour comes to Hillingdon playgrounds

Now in its fifth year, Playground Proms was created by comedy string quartet Graffiti Classics as a way to perform during Covid-19 restrictions.

Though workshops are mainly targeted at 5–11s, all classes can attend, and a resource pack is available to all schools taking part.

This year, Playground Proms will make a 15-stop UK tour.

Cathal Ó Dúill from Playground Proms said: “It is a privilege to travel the country and spread the joy of classical music to children in this way.’’

Hillingdon and neighbouring schools to be visited in the  week commencing March 31 are:

Cranford Primary Academy, Field End Infants School and Lady Bankes, Ruislip, Botwell House in Hayes, Frithwood in Northwood, John Locke Academy and Whitehall Junior in Uxbridge.
