The City of Knox has launched an interactive mobile app, available in both the Google Play and Apple stores.
The app is called Discover Knox and is powered by GoGov, a company that specializes in providing organizational apps for local governments of varying sizes.
The app offers links to the city website, as well as to information about the Mayor and city Clerk-Treasurer. There is a calendar of events, as well as a way to pay your local utility bills online and trash and recycling schedules for both the west and east sides of Knox.
The app has information about the Parks Department, a link to City Ordinances, information about the Knox Police and Fire Departments, Knox Council, the Knox Public Library, and Knox Schools.
Select City officials will have the ability to push out important information through the app, which is free to download.
