A new state law is now in effect that prohibits the use of cell phones by any student during the school day.
For elementary and middle school students, this is a continuation of the procedures Tulsa Public Schools enforced last year that require phones and other personal electronic devices to be put away for the entire school day. This will mean new policies beginning on the first day of school for high school students where devices may not be used at all during the school day.
If you want to learn more about the law, you can access it here.
If you have questions or concerns about the new law, please reach out to the principal at your student’s school, including for exceptions for medical or other reasons.
