Cathay Pacific has introduced its new Aria Suite Business class on flights between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).
According to a press release, the enhanced cabin experience will be available three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Vancouver becomes the third long-haul destination to offer the Aria Suite, which debuted in October 2024 on Cathay Pacific’s retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The upgraded aircraft also includes a redesigned Premium Economy section and refreshed Economy cabin.
“We are proud to continue our commitment to offering an unparalleled level of comfort and convenience by bringing our highly anticipated Aria Suite to our North American customers,” said Chris Vanden Hooven, Senior Vice President, Americas.
“Just over 40 years ago, Vancouver was our first long-haul passenger route between North America and Hong Kong. We are thrilled to introduce the Aria Suite to the Americas via Vancouver, further demonstrating the importance of the region to Cathay Pacific.”
The Aria Suite is designed to offer more space, intuitive seating, and refined finishes. The airline says the new cabin reflects a human-centric approach to travel and is part of a broader HK$100 billion investment in its fleet, lounges, and digital innovation.
Flight schedules for the new Aria Suite-equipped service are as follows:
Hong Kong (HKG) to Vancouver (YVR)
Flight CX888 departs at 00:45 and arrives at 21:25 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday local time).
Vancouver (YVR) to Hong Kong (HKG)
Flight CX865 departs at 00:30 and arrives at 05:35 (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday local time).
Cathay Pacific currently operates 17 nonstop return flights weekly between Vancouver and Hong Kong. The airline says the frequency and timing of flights support smooth onward connections through its growing global network, which will reach 100 passenger destinations within the first half of this year.
“With the recent launch of Cathay Pacific’s new route between Dallas Fort Worth and Hong Kong, the first to connect the airline with the southern region of the United States, we’re further strengthening our commitment to connecting North America with Hong Kong,” said Vanden Hooven.
“Our customers will have even more options, with over 110 return passenger flights per week between North America and Hong Kong this summer, ensuring seamless travel and enhanced connectivity for all.”
