The One Show, which typically airs at 7pm on weeknights, will be off TV for the next month.

The news was announced live on the show as part of a summer break.

It is not the only change on the BBC, with a major EastEnders change having also been revealed recently.

The One Show has been taken off air in as part of the summer schedule shake-up.

As of June 30, the long-running show will be off air until the end of July.

Revealing the news, host Alex Jones said: “We are taking a bit of a break for the next four weeks and we’ll be back on Monday, 28th July, but there’s plenty to enjoy like Wimbledon and the Euros.”

Alex, along with co-host Roman Kemp, will take some time off for summer.

The One Show was also recently pulled for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show.

With the show off air, sports fans can look forward to coverage of the 2025 Wimbledon championships taking its place.

The BBC’s coverage of Wimbledon will last from Monday, June 30 to Sunday, July 13.

The One Show will return to BBC One on Monday, July 28.

BBC EastEnders schedule change taking place

The One Show is not the only schedule change to be taking place this summer, with EastEnders also changing.

Due to the coverage of Wimbledon, there won’t be any room for EastEnders to air in the usual 7.30pm slot.

Instead, viewers will need to head over to BBC Two to watch the BBC soap.

This week, commencing June 30, EastEnders will only air on Monday and Tuesday.

However, it broadcast two episodes in a row on Monday, meaning it remains a week’s worth of episodes across the two days.
