Assad Regime falls, U.S. strikes 75+ ISIS targets

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – After more than 50 brutal years and a 13-year Civil War that killed thousands, the Assad regime has fallen in Syria.

Ousted leader Bashar Assad and his family has fled to Moscow and received asylum according to Russian media.

On Sunday, The United States bombed 75+ ISIS targets in Syria according to the Pentagon.

Thousands of Syrians poured into the streets to celebrate the rebel forces victory and the end of the war.

President Joe Biden addressed the nation on the U.S. views on the situation on Sunday saying this is a historic opportunity for Syrians to establish a new government that represents the will of the people.

“Our approach has shifted the balance of power in the Middle East,” Biden said.

Biden said the U.S. is prepared to help Syria setup a new government but has reservations about the rebel group who has ties to other terrorist organizations.

President-elect Trump posted on social media that the U.S. should steer clear of interfering with the turmoil in the country.

The weakening of Russia, Iran and Hezbollah – longtime allys of the Assad regime, helped rebels quickly gain ground in the country according to experts.
