Welcome to the Week in Fashion, Bazaar’s at-a-glance guide to what the industry is talking about. This week, we’re doing a special edition dedicated to Salone del Mobile 2025.
The Row Unveils a Collection of Handwoven Cashmere Blankets
Nothing says “home” like the Row.
As part of Salone del Mobile 2025, the luxury fashion house unveiled a new exhibition featuring handwoven cashmere blankets created by female artisans from the birthplace of cashmere: Kashmir, India. The collection, titled “Home,” is meant to show the craftsmanship behind the material, and the pieces were created using a centuries-old practice that can take up to 300 hours to execute.
The capsule of blankets and throws (in shades of ivory and black) were draped across Julian Schnabel metal racks and Schnabel benches, as captured in photos by Francois Halard. You can shop the selection at the Row retail stores, by appointment.
Loewe Brings the Tea Party to Salone del Mobile
Who wouldn’t want a tea party hosted by Loewe?
For Salone del Mobile, the Spanish luxury house unveiled a collection of 25 teapots that were commissioned by a group of internationally renowned artists, designers, and architects.
This is Loewe’s ninth appearance at the art and design fair, and the latest exhibition was unveiled on April 8 at the Palazzo Citterio in Milan, and will remain open through April 13.
In addition to the teapots, the exhibition also includes a collection of homewares from Loewe, like coasters, tea cozies, and leather botanical charms. Not to mention, other limited-edition teapots, designed by Spanish clay artisans, are also currently on display, bringing this tea party to a tea extravaganza.
If you can’t make it to the exhibition, fear not, because you can check out the brand’s special tea blend, available through Postcard Teas.
The Fourth Iteration of Prada Frames Focuses on Everything “In Transit”
For the latest annual Prada Frames symposium at Salone, the Italian fashion house explored the idea of being “In Transit,” which also happened to serve as the name of the brand’s exhibition.
Curated by Formafantasma, the 2025 concept “offers a prismatic gaze on infrastructure as a dynamic and multifaceted system that enables, restricts, and shapes movement, whether of people, goods, data, or power,” according to Prada.
The multi-day event included contributions from from Metahaven, Tung-Hui Hu, Julia Watson, Nick Hunt, Ersilia Vaudo, Nicola Twilley, and Paola Antonelli, in conversation with Natalia Grabowska, and with introductions by Alice Rawsthorn. You can learn more here.
La DoubleJ Celebrates a New Homeware Line With a Week of Spiritual Activity
For Salone 2025, La DoubleJ wanted to dedicate a whole week to “consciousness-raising experiences” in an effort to celebrate its new line of Napoli Rosa homeware goods.
To commemorate the release, the brand unveiled new headquarters, called the “LDJ Starquarters,” as well as a pop-up full of spiritual-focused activities, from sound-healing sessions to love-fortune readings and more.
“Every year we’re coming out with new collections in homeware, [and] one of our most beautiful collections for me, was the Napoli line from a couple of seasons ago,” said founder and creative director J.J. Martin. “We originally made it in these bold, Mediterranean colors, but I always wanted a version of the collection done in a much softer palette. This time we’ve done it in a beautiful blush that feels very feminine and that works beautifully for the chic weddings all my friends have been looking to find homeware for. It’s a little more toned down for La DoubleJ, but it’s still got that punch when you layer all the pieces on top of one another – the charger, with the dinner plate, with the dessert plate and the side plate – together, it becomes this magnificent orchestra of pattern.”
You can shop the new collection here.
