Not much was working on Wall Street today. All 11 of the S&P 500’s major sectors were trading lower.
May 28 was the last time the sectors all closed down on the same day, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Today would mark the seventh time this year if they all don’t climb out of the red before the closing bell.
The index itself is down 0.6%, with only 114 stocks rising.
