CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Alice ISD students will not be allowed to take cell phones onto district campuses during the 2025-26 school year, officials said in a news release Tuesday.
Any students who bring personal electronic devices to school — including smartwatches, earbuds and tablets — will face disciplinary action.
That discipline includes:
Anyone who accidentally brings a cell phone or personal device to school should self-report to a teacher or a campus administrator to avoid discipline.
Confiscated phones will have to be picked up by a parent or guardian between 2-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays only. After 90 days, the phone will be thrown out.
Students traveling for an out-of-town school/UIL event can have their parent drop off their phone at the front office for the trip.
