Three quarters of music producers fear being replaced by artificial intelligence.
AI-generated music has been sparking many online debates recently, with three quarters of music producers fearing that these artificial ‘musicians’ could replace them, according to Music Radar.
And with how much money robot artists are effortlessly producing, these fears seem valid. In fact, a recent study has shown that AI musicians who don’t even exist are raking in serious cash, with one making roughly four times more than the average UK salary.
SeatPick estimated how much Spotify’s top AI musicians are earning by applying the average cost-per-stream rate to each AI-generated artist’s streams from their 2025 releases. And the results were staggering.
With the UK average annual salary at just £31,602, many AI musicians are raking in more than most working adults do, with the most popular artist having earned £123,176 so far this year – almost four times the mean salary, according to the data.
Blow Records only released its first track at the end of June this year, but it is already the highest-earning AI-generated artist on Spotify.
Its biggest hit is ‘Predador de Perereca’, and 1.6 million TikTok videos used the song when it went viral.
With 2,830,449 average monthly listeners and more than 45 million streams on its 2025 tracks, Blow Records has also amassed 200,000 followers on Instagram.
To put these figures into perspective, the non-existent musician has more monthly listeners on average than Rizzle Kicks, who have 1,019,000.
AI country music has also been making quite the stir this year, with ‘artists’ like Biscuit Beats – the second top earner in the study – making £67,891 in 2025 so far.
The AI country musician’s most listened to song achieved over four million listens on Spotify, while its total listens for this year so far have reached 24,959,000.
Another robot music artist raking in the cash is Xania Monetm, who recently signed a record deal with Hallwood Media.
The digital R&B singer has earned around £50k from Spotify so far, with the single ‘How Was I Supposed to Know’ reaching top 10 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song sales.
Beats by AI is another wealthy artist that went viral on TikTok earlier this year for the track ‘Only Thing I Love’.
Amassing more than 18 million streams from its 2025 releases, this artist is estimated to have earned £49,935 as the fourth wealthiest AI musician of the year so far.
In fifth place was AI band Velvet Sundown, earning an estimated £38,819 from its 2025 songs.
Adding to the moral debate surrounding the use of generative AI in music, the band controversially released two albums before its managers admitted that all the music, images, and backstory were created by artificial intelligence.
Nevertheless, the band has more than 14 million total Spotify streams and 268,000 monthly listeners.
