Drip Bag & Clothing Boutique of Loris is bringing an evening of glamor to the Loris community with a fashion show at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23.
“The Main Street Fashion Experience,” created by business owner Anthony Clark, features a luxury and streetwear-inspired runway show, live performances and a red-carpet treatment for attendees.
“This isn’t just a fashion show – it’s a celebration of fashion, creativity, and community. We’re bringing luxury to Main Street while showcasing talent that deserves the spotlight,” Clark said.
Drip Bag & Clothing Boutique opened in 2020 and provides a one-on-one experience with staff assisting customers in finding their style. Over the past five years Clark has developed a female-based clientele as his clothing flatters all body types and his customers leave the boutique feeling confident in their curves.
Models ages 15-55 will be walking the runway in a variety of categories including business casual, country, Met gala and athleisure. Model Dava Shey of Loris is a Drip Bag & Clothing Boutique brand ambassador and has played a role in the creation of this fashion event.
“We’re just bringing the community together as a whole and putting something positive out there for everyone to come and enjoy. I feel like it will have a positive impact on the community simply because we are bringing something different, something other than what people are used to,” Shey said. “And hopefully it can open some people’s minds in the community and let them know that anything is possible. All it takes is a thought and then execution directly after that.”
She said many of the women have never walked a runway before and are excited for the opportunity, exposure and to build confidence by trying something new.
“It’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear it. So, you can take something simple and turn it into a fashion statement,” Shey said.
Designer Kyle Hamilton, a Loris native, creates looks with bursts of inspiration complimented by his affinity for color schemes and will be launching his clothing brand “Passion Collection.” While his career in fashion has hit some roadblocks since starting a family, Hamilton looks forward to presenting his hard work to the community.
