Hudson Morris, 19, was charged after two victims reported that they had been threatened at gunpoint after meeting up with someone they met off of a dating app.
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Police in Dauphin County have announced the arrest of a man who reportedly threatened two victims he met off of dating apps at gunpoint.
On November 7, a victim reached out to the Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Police after being threatened with a gun. The victim stated that he met an individual named “Brandon,” who was later identified as Hudson Morris, 19, off of a dating app and agreed to meet him in his vehicle.
The two became intimate in the vehicle, but once the victim wanted to stop, Morris became upset and stated that he had a gun in the back and would “pull the trigger” if the victim didn’t give him everything he had.
The victim stated that he did not have any money, which led Morris to make threatening comments about the victim’s family. As the vehicle approached the victim’s house, the victim hurried inside and locked the doors. Police allege that Morris then sent a series of threatening messages to the victim through the dating app.
Another victim came forward with similar claims, stating to police that a man going by the name “Greg,” who would also be identified as Morris, planned to meet up with him after the two connected on a different dating app.
When the victim drove to the agreed meeting location, he was met by a man pointing a gun at him, who said “I want your money now.” Morris then demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle.
The victim stated that he didn’t have any money and ran away while calling 911. While running, Morris reportedly chased him and threatened to slash his tires. Once the victim yelled that he was calling 911, Morris allegedly ran in the opposite direction of where the victim parked, which allowed the victim to circle back and leave.
Both victims provided police with the account profiles that Morris used, which led to police identifying him on Dec. 3. Morris allegedly confessed to both crimes during a police interview held the next day.
Morris was charged with one count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of robbery. He was denied bail and is currently housed in Dauphin County Prison.
