Protecting Israel’s water: The app that alerts users to water leaks

The Arad Group has launched an innovative app that notifies users of water leaks in real-time, enabling significant water and financial savings for consumers. This launch is part of an initiative by Modiin Mayor and Chairman of the Local Government Center, Haim Bibas, to preserve Israel’s critical water resources.

Today, a campaign event promoting the download of the Read Your Meter Pro app was held in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut, aligning with Bibas’s mission to enhance water conservation efforts. The app directly alerts users to leaks and home water losses in real-time, helping Israelis save both water and money. During the event, Arad Group representatives shared impressive app download statistics with Bibas, showing that residents of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut lead the nation in app usage compared to other cities.

Haim Bibas, Mayor of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut and Chairman of the Local Government Center, stated, “Protecting our natural resources, especially water, is a national challenge. In this, as in other national issues, local government is at the forefront, leading technological innovation responsibly to enhance services for residents. Modiin-Maccabim-Reut, as a smart city, is pioneering advanced technology to upgrade service and information delivery for its residents. I invite municipalities across Israel to adopt these innovative technological solutions and join the movement toward improved water management for future generations.”

Gabi Yankovitz, CEO of the Arad Group, added, “We thank Local Government Center Chairman and Modiin Mayor Haim Bibas and appreciate his efforts in encouraging residents to conserve our precious water resource, while also saving significant amounts of money. We commend Modiin for setting records in Read Your Meter Pro app usage, and we call on other residents nationwide to join this revolution.
