Clement was the third Rangers managerial appointment in less than two years when he replaced Michael Beale a year ago and believes stability is “the only way”.
“Not just here but in clubs all over Europe and the world,” he said.
“If you change ideas every three months, six months, or every year, there’s no consistency. You need one process with everyone going in the same direction.
“That’s crucial. Otherwise there will always be ups and downs. If you go with the motion of the day, or one or two results, then you can never create consistency.
“Last season, all the fans were behind the story. They were really happy. I didn’t go with the hype of that moment. I also don’t go with the drama now.
“There’s a big space in between and we are in that space. I believe so much in this club and its potential.”
