Shilpa Shetty Kundra‘s fitness philosophy is refreshing and sagacious. “Every workout regime helps you unlock another secret,” the actress said in an exclusive conversation with Times Now Digital as she encouraged people to consider outdoor walks not as a mundane task but a vibrant celebration.

On being asked about what women suffering with PCOS can do to lead a healthy lifestyle, the actress responded, “It is definitely about a lifestyle shift that one needs to make. Cutting down on aerated drinks, junk food, maintaining a circadian rhythm are some things that need to be done.” The actress and fitness enthusiast emphasized on the role of clean eating and a balanced lifestyle in achieving overall health.

An ardent follower of yoga, Shilpa also recommended a few asanas that women suffering with PCOS should swear by, including: Malasana, Bhujangasana, and Vajrasana.

A domino effect: Shilpa Shetty

Being a steadfast advocate of holistic well-being, Shilpa emphasized on the importance of breathing. “When your cortisol levels are high, it impacts everything. It is all like a domino effect.”

On being asked if she would pick yoga or pilates, Shilpa burst into laughter saying, “Are you even asking me this question.”

“Pilates was formed for rehabilitation for dancers and for soldiers who went to war. Yoga is the single most holistic way to balance your body and soul. It is something that no amount of pilates or weight training can do. For me, it is always mind over body. The day people start understanding that your mind is more powerful, they will start valuing what comes from our country, that is yoga.”

The ‘quick fix’

Additionally, Shilpa placed importance on outdoor walking and how it has healing powers. She highlighted that there are researches on how the smell and sound of nature have immense power to cure you. “For people dealing with depression and anxiety, this would be a quick fix.”

“Just if we could start living how people lived 70 years ago, we will be a healthier community. Listen to your gut – that is how I have always lived,” the actress concluded.

Times Now Digital spoke to the actress on the occasion of the launch of her product Nutrispray. Pharmacist Arpit Save was also present during the conversation. Speaking about the product, he said, “The advantage with oral sprays is that when you spray them under the tongue, its directly absorbed into the blood stream. It is effective and faster.”
