ELGIN, Okla. (KSWO) – Elgin Public Schools has announced it’s new policy regarding student cell phone use.
Starting this school year, students will no longer be allowed to use personal electronic devices while on school grounds from bell-to-bell.
That includes phones, smart watches, tablets, laptops, smart headphones, smart glasses and more.
High school students will experience the biggest change as cell phones will no longer be allowed between classes or during lunch.
Students can still keep their phones on them, but they must be turned off and kept out of sight.
You can read the full policy on Elgin Public School’s Facebook page.
