LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A beloved local tradition returned in full style this morning as the 33rd Annual Administrative Professionals’ Day Fashion Show and Luncheon took place at the Laredo Country Club.
The event is a celebration of the hard-working administrative assistants in the Laredo area, honoring their dedication and contributions to the workplace. But it’s not just about fashion and fun — it’s also about giving back.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Border Region Behavioral Health Center, helping fund crucial services for individuals in need.
“This fundraiser allows for funds to be brought to Border Region for activities for our clients — for our adults, our children, our mental health clients, and those with intellectual disabilities,” said Maria Sanchez, Executive Director of the center. “Not everything is funded, so we thank them for their generosity and for putting this great event together. It takes a long time to do.”
According to Border Region, they serve over 5,000 clients, and the support from events like this one helps extend services where other funding falls short.
The event was hosted by the Volunteer Services Council, which plays a vital role in organizing and supporting this long-standing community celebration.
