8th April 2025 – (Hong Kong) English Premier League club Manchester United has confirmed its return to Hong Kong for an exhibition match at the end of May, marking the “Red Devils’” first visit since 2013. The event, organised by Proevents Management Ltd, will be announced in detail at a press conference on Thursday, 10th April, where ticket prices and other specifics are expected to be revealed.
Despite an inconsistent performance this season, placing them mid-table in the Premier League, Manchester United retains significant appeal among fans. Proevents has sent out media invitations, indicating that the club will visit Hong Kong in May, with former United star Dwight Yorke also set to attend the press conference.
The match is scheduled for 30th May at 8pm at Hong Kong Stadium, where Manchester United will face the Hong Kong representative team. Following their final Premier League match against Aston Villa on 25th May, the team will travel to Malaysia for a match against a Southeast Asian All-Star team on 28th May before continuing to Hong Kong as the second stop on their Asian tour.
