Spanish scorcher to bring warmer weather to Norfolk

“Widespread rain and showers, turning heavy and potentially thundery,” are to be expected on Saturday, according to the Met Office.

However, some forecasters are predicting that hot air from Spain, which has recently seen temperatures of 40C, will hit the UK next week.

The Met Office has confirmed that as the country begins to enter the middle of June, “high pressure may become more dominant, which could bring periods of fine and dry weather and temperatures rising above normal”.

It comes after the county, alongside the rest of the UK, contributed to the warmest and sunniest spring recorded to date.

In April, a wildfire warning was issued for Norfolk after experiencing the sunniest March on record.
