Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are red-carpet official after a year of dating.
Perry, 41, and the former Canadian prime minister, 54, stepped out during the Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 8 for the premiere of the popstar’s new music documentary, “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris.”
The two held hands and gazed into each other’s eyes as they posed for photos together. Perry wore a floor-length white gown as Trudeau kept his look simple in a white dress shirt and black blazer over matching slacks. Trudeau also followed Perry along the carpet as she greeted fans with selfies and autographs.
The film is debuting at the annual festival with other documentaries featuring fellow musicians, including Earth, Wind & Fire, Peter Frampton, and Alicia Keys. Perry’s Paul Dugdale-directed movie, filmed in November 2025, shows details from her ambitious Lifetimes Tour concerts, as captured by 60 cameras while she was performing in Paris.
When did Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau start dating?
Perry and Trudeau have been romantically linked since the summer of 2025, when reports of their pair’s Montreal outing made headlines. Soon after, Trudeau was caught singing along at Perry’s Montreal concert as seen in videos posted to social media.
The duo became Instagram official in December, when Perry posted a collection of photos and videos from her time in Tokyo, which included quality time with her beau. Though the two fueled speculation last year with occasional public outings, neither has publicly commented on the status of their relationship.
Trudeau, who announced his resignation as prime minister amid political pressure in January 2025, and his wife Sophie Grégoire announced their separation in August 2023. They share three children from their 18-year marriage.
Perry and ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, announced their split in July after nine years together.
